Product-First Senior Software Engineer

Role

You work directly with the CTO of the group and support individual companies in delivering innovative software projects — partly for their existing customers, partly for new markets. Engagements are project-based (e.g. 3 months) and partly on-site, depending on needs and project phase. At times you work on multiple projects in parallel, collaborating with the respective teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions across various companies in the group — each with its own system landscape, customer needs, and team structure.
• Build prototypes, MVPs, and production-ready applications, sometimes independently and sometimes with the teams.
• Close collaboration with engineering teams.
• Development and integration of AI-based features.

Profile

• Several years of software engineering experience.
• Strong technical foundation (architecture, tradeoffs, clean engineering).
• You are "Product-First" — you care about what gets built, not just how.
• Strong interest in using coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, ...) in development.
• Ability to quickly ramp up in new domains and teams.
• Willingness to travel within the DACH region (primarily Switzerland).
• Recent graduates are generally not a fit, unless backed by exceptionally strong, relevant projects.

Tech Stack

The default stack is React, TypeScript, Python, and Postgres. Different projects may use different technologies.
